   What do Insects do in Winter?    Saturday Dec. 27th 10:30-12pm  When it's cold and snowy, where do all the insects go? Join us for a fun and interactive program to discover the surprising ways insects survive the winter! We'll learn together, ask curious question, and then get creative with hands-on insect crafts. Each participant will also go home with  free native seeds  to help support pollinators when spring arrives. Location: at one of the front meeting rooms at the Mount Prospect Library.   One of the teachers from Westbrook will be leading this event.  Link to Register.

Owen St, Mount Prospect  (Parking at Christian Life Church lot) • Join a 1-mile neighborhood walk to explore front-yard native gardens • See real examples of turning parts of your lawn into thriving habitat • Learn why fall is the ideal time to remove turf and plan for spring planting AND wrap up with a quick demo on how to smother grass using cardboard + mulch • Leave with ideas you can use in your own yard!

  Sun., October 26th 8 AM-1 PM 2 W. Northwest Hwy., Mount Prospect Stop by the Lions Farmer’s Market on its final day of the season to connect with GGMP! Learn about our upcoming events and share what interests you have for the upcoming year. Pick up  FREE NATIVE SEEDS  to take home, along with tips on how to grow them. We will have 25+ varieties of native seeds while supplies last!

Textile Reuse + Recycling Pop-Up

    Saturday September 20th 11AM-1PM   @ Cap’s Ice Cream (10 S. Pine St., Mt Prospect) Go Green Mount Prospect is hosting a hands-on  Textile Reuse + Recycling Pop-Up  to inspire creative ways to extend the life of your clothes. Swing by our outdoor table to discover easy, creative ways to give old clothes new life — from darning holes with KC Dix and adding fun patches to upcycling kids' clothes and using one of a kind iron-on designs.    Bring a T-shirt to refresh!  Be one of the first there for some free natives generously donated!
