What is the difference between our plugs and seedlings?

Plugs have more established root systems, as they have been professionally grown for about a year at Pizzo Nursery. They are larger, more mature plants and are typically ready to go directly into the ground.

Seedlings were grown from seed this winter, so they are only a few months old. Each pot usually contains several small plants that can either be planted directly in the ground or separated and up-potted to continue growing before planting.
