    Local Voices Series: Home Composting & Soil Building May 3 | 11:15-12:15 PM 📍  Mount Prospect Public Library, Meeting Room B Join us for the next  Local Voices Series  presentation featuring  Anna Chubchenko , a local composter, neighbor, and Go Green Mount Prospect member. Anna will share her  tips and tricks for building healthy soil  and explain  simple ways to start a home composting system . Adam from Urban Canopy,  will talk about their program, which  offers home composting for those living in apartment buildings and condos,  event composting and a winter composting option.   A  Q&A session will follow the presentation , and attendees will leave with helpful resources and the knowledge to begin their own  home composting journey .  🌱 Come learn how turning food scraps into compost can nourish your garden and reduce waste!

Emerson St. MP Join us for National Bike to Work Day! This highlights National Bike Month, organized by the League of American Bicyclists, who promote commuting by bike for better health, a cleaner environment, and reduced traffic. Go Green Mount Prospect will be hosting a pit stop with a quick snack and coffee. Make sure to bring your own to-go mug! Work from home? Hop on your bike and swing by our table for a quick hello before starting your day!

  Native Plant Sale: Shop & Learn Mt. Prospect Historical Society Sat. May 30th 9:30am-2pm          101 S. Maple St. MP This exciting event is both a fundraiser for our growing organization and an opportunity to gather resources and learn about pollinator-friendly native plants into your landscape. There will also be a kids craft table! On the day of the sale, we’ll be selling 24 establish native plugs from Pizzo Nursery and an additional 25+ varieties of  native seedlings.  New to native plants? We’ll have resources and information available to help you discover the many benefits of native gardening and how to get started.
